All AIL Madrid teachers are native Spanish speakers who, in addition to having a university degree, have post graduate qualifications in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. They also have from 3 to 17 years of experience in teaching Spanish.

AIL Madrid uses Prisma and SUEÑA textbooks, as well as their own materials.
Use of the new technologies
AIL Madrid uses an online game (Kahoot), created by the teaches that works with students' mobiles. They also use Nearpod, an interactive learning platform.

Terms and conditions

Courses are contracted directly with AIL Madrid. The school does not guarantee specific teachers, classrooms or timetables and reserves the right to make the planning changes that it considers necessary, including moving students between its Núñez de Balboa 17 and O'Donnell 27 school or any other suitably equipped central Madrid locations.
All bookings made online are subject to confirmation by email.
One class lasts 50 minutes except evening classes (45 minutes).
Intensive classes have morning and afternoon schedules. AIL Madrid places students in the group which most appropriately corresponds to their level. Class schedules may be subject to change. Timetable preferences should be communicated when booking but cannot be guaranteed.  
If a student’s level of Spanish is unsuitable for the course he/she has booked, AIL Madrid reserves the right to move the student to a more suitable class.
Group classes (except evening and Friday afternoon/Saturday morning classes) can only be rescheduled if the Student Care Team is informed in writing (by email) before 12pm on Wednesday of the week prior to the week that is to be cancelled. Cancellations apply for a whole week, not individual days.
Individual and evening classes can only be rescheduled if the Student Care Team is informed in writing (by email) 24 hours (and at least one working day) before the scheduled time of the class.
Travel costs, food and drink, examination fees and entrance charges levied by third parties (museums, etc.) are not included in the course price.
In the exceptional case that there is only 1 student enrolled on a course of a certain level, the number of classes will be reduced to 40% of the published number and 80% in the case of 2 students.
If student comes to AIL Madrid through an agent, their terms and conditions may apply; AIL Madrid reserves the right to apply our terms.

AIL Madrid está cerrado durante los días festivos. Sin embargo, somos la única escuela de español en Madrid que recupera todas las clases y actividades no llevadas a cabo por días festivos, independientemente del tipo de curso, de la duración del curso,del número de días festivos en la semana y de la época del año. No se realizarán reembolsos si el estudiante no puede acudir a las clases de recuperación.

3.1 Accommodation is booked from the Sunday before the course starts to the Saturday after the course ends. Please note the first week equates to 6 nights with all subsequent weeks consisting of to 7 nights.Extra nights can be arranged subject to availability and a supplement.
3.2 A 200€ upfront payment is required to confirm the booking. The outstanding balance is due on arrival and must be paid on first day of class.
3.3 Due to limited availability, private bathrooms in flat shares cannot be guaranteed until arrival. In the unlikely event that AIL Madrid is not able to offer the private bathroom, the price difference will be refunded.
3.4 Check-in is between 12:30pm and 11pm. If due to any reason (student´s flight arrives later, unexpected flight delays and/or cancellations) the student is unable to arrive at the accommodation by 23h, he or she will have to arrange their own accommodation for this night.
3.5 Check-out is by 11am. It may be possible to arrange a later check-out. Additional charges may apply. Please consult.
3.6 A damage deposit is required for stays in accommodation organized by AIL Madrid. The required deposit is of:

- 60€ for stays in host families and flat shares
- 150€ for stays in one bedroom apartments
- 400€ for stays in student residence

The damage deposit is due on the student's first day at school and should be paid by debit/credit card. It is refunded to the student's debit/credit card within 7 days of departure, once the room has been satisfactorily inspected.

3.7 Please note that part or all of the damage deposit may be retained if:

- The bedroom is not left in a clean and tidy state
- The student has caused a noise disturbance
- The student has not returned the keys
- The student has caused damage to the furniture or installations

3.8 The student will be charged for the replacement of broken items due to either negligence or misuse. If there is damage and no one is directly responsible, the cost of the repairs will be shared among all students in the accommodation.
3.9 AIL…

4.1 An upfront payment is required to reserve a course.
4.2 The remaining balance is payable in full on the first day of class. Without the full payment AIL Madrid can cancel the program, and the student has no right to a refund.
4.3 Students wishing to extend their stay with AIL Madrid need to have paid the full amount due by the Friday prior to the start of the extension.

4.5 Student's name should be clearly stated on all bank transfers.
4.6 Personal cheques are not accepted. Bank cheques will be accepted only if the cheque is received a minimum of 80 days before arrival and with an extra 35€ fee.
