Study spanish at Proyecto Español Alicante

Alicante is located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, in the heart of the Costa Blanca, one of Spain's most attractive coastlines. The Romans called it "Lucentum", the city of light, which defines the character of this palm-fringed city by the sea with a beautiful weather. It is also a university city, and you can feel it in the atmosphere of its streets. 

Proyecto Español is a language school located in the very centre of Alicante, behind the Central Market.

The school facilities consist of 23 spacious air-conditioned classrooms with a pleasant atmosphere, audiovisual equipment in all classrooms, wifi connection throughout the building, computer room, library, relax area, cafeterias and access for disabled people.

The school offers shared flat and host family accommodation.

With the first option, you'll share a flat with other students from the school of any age or nationality. This allows you to get to know your flatmates, cooking and eating together in the kitchen, trying out recipes learned at the school, among many other things.

If you choose the option of living with a Spanish family you will be fully immersed in the Spanish language and culture, in and out of the classroom. The families with whom the school works welcome the students as one of the family.

All families have WIFI internet access and will provide you with bed linen and towels, as well as washing your clothes and preparing your meals.

School and courses

The Spanish school Proyecto Español Alicante is located at Costa Blanca, in the very centre of Alicante, behind the Central Market.
Courses are offered throughout the year and most of them starts on any Monday of the year. There are specific start dates for absolute beginners. Some special courses start on the first Monday of the month. Exam preparation courses' start dates depend on the exam dates.
Classes lost due to the holidays and festivities in Proyecto Español Alicante are not to be rescheduled except for programmes with individual classes that may be conducted on the other dates.
The minimum age to study in Proyecto Español Alicante is 17.
You Spanish level doesn't really matter. Before the course start we'll send you an e-mail asking you to do a test and send it back to us. It's important for us to have it in advance to assign you to the classes on the correct level.
The timetable depends on the level and the course type. One week before your arrival we will send you an e-mail confirming the schedule of your course.
Yes, when finishing the course you will get a certificate. In Alicante, at the end, we send an e-mail with a certificate stating the name of the student, type of the course, the hours it contained, dates in which it was held and obtained level.

Accommodation

If you need any special diet due to your religion, health or ethics, we can offer you adapted meals. Though, you need to specify it clearly in the booking process.
The school offers the following types of lodging: shared apartment and host family
The accommodation and the school are not far away from each other. They are about 15 minute walk or public transport drive.
If you come on Saturday os Sunday and you want to check-in to your accommodation spot there are two ways. In either case, you shall inform us about the hour of your arrival in advance. If you choose host family, you can directly go to the house and someone will be waiting for you at the indicated prior to your arrival time. If you opt for shared flat, you can pick-up the keys after 15:00 in the nearby spot we'll inform you about in the welcome e-mail.
