Age is not important for language, especially if the student is motivated. Mastering a second language being older than 50 years old may be useful in work environment for the last years of professional activity and while travelling to the countries where they speak the language in question.
50+ Spanish programmes are held in different locations in Spain. Most of them contains 20 lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary and conversation.
Normally the groups are not numerous and some of these courses have 5 additional classes to reinforce particular contents and to introduce the student to cultural aspects of the city the programme is being held.
These Spanish courses for people over 50 years of age are realised in the calm manner. Some of them offer classes in the morning and others in the afternoon but either way there's always time to rest and unwind. There are programmes that set the minimum age at 55.
As it happens with other courses, the student may sign up for various weeks. These programmes are quite affordable as they include supplementary cultural activities. You may also additionally ask for transfers and accommodation.
